It’s time to ditch the “I woke up like this” hair and no-makeup makeup. Beauty’s message for Fall 2016 is blasting off the runway’s loud and clear: fierce femininity is back with a vengeance.
To complement the dark palette of tailoring and mature silhouettes, Peter Philips pulled out all the stops with a powerful look that exuded confidence.
Whilst complexions were kept matte with a light dusting of Diorskin Forever & Ever Control Loose Powder and eyes were made up with a simple coat of Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara, malevolent plum mouths were intentional stars of the show. They were created first, by lining lips with Dior Contour Lip Liner to create an intense base then coated in the maison’s “it” colour for next season- no. 962 Poison. As a finishing touch, mouths were then treated to a “crystal clear” slick of Dior Addict Gloss in Bulle for a 3D “mirror effect.”
Elegant, dark and a little dangerous, it seems that come autumn, decadent lips are set to be the name of the beauty game.
