Lipstick has always seemed to have gone either one of two ways- smooth and silky but a little too sheer or bold and pigmented but with a dry and dragging texture. In recent times this is something that the beauty industry has made efforts to address and has done an awesome job of solving this problem, hitting the nail on the head with beautifully opaque shades that keep lips plump and hydrated. I’m looking at you Tom Ford Lip Color and Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick. Swoon.

But the more affordable brands have upped their game too, offering intense lip colours that are giving their prestige counterparts a run for their money. Wow by Wojooh (formerly known as Faces) is one of these go-getting brands that’s really started to offer head-turning formulas in recent months.

Wow By Wojooh Lipstuck- Extreme Wear Lip Lacquer- New Collection

The new Lipstuck lip colours toe the line between lip lacquer and rich lipstick. They come in a tube with a gloss-like wand applicator but combine the intensity of a semi-matte lip colour with the softness of a lip cream. The angled, diamond sponge applicator make it easy to dispense the colour precisely right to the edges of the lips. It dries down in seconds and lasts for hours without smudging, whilst still remaining comfortable on the lips. Admittedly some shades are more successful than others; the Barbie-esque Pink Orient is a little too Nicki Minaj for my liking. My personal favourites are Purple Essence, a beautiful shade of amethyst, and Chili Fever, a spicy classic red.

If you liked the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams or Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick, you’re going to fall head over heels for these.
