Pack your bags! This summer, Guerlain is taking us all on a trip to Palm Beach! Ok, wishful thinking, but the new 2015 Summer Collection is set to have you doing some serious vaycay day dreaming.

Paying homage to the iconic Terracotta line, this range encapsulates the look, scent and feel of the summer sun. At the heart lies cult favourite, Terracotta Bronzing Powder, with splashes of aquatic blue eyeshadows and pops of electrifying neon lipsticks. In my opinion, the truly beautiful thing about Guerlain beauty products is that it’s always a multi-sensory experience. Luxurious textures combine with rich colours and delicious scents, enticing all the senses at once. And this range doesn’t disappoint.

The My Terracotta Bronzing Powder is back but with customisable, silicon sleeves in fun shades of aquamarine, coral, fuchsia and yellow to make it truly your own. The new compact foundations not only provide SPF 20 protection but also give the skin an instant sun-kissed glow. The texture is perfect for summer days– easily blended, super-light and not greasy in the slightest.

Whilst waterproof textures are a must in our region’s intense heat and humidity, but when it comes to eyeshadows this can often be a daunting prospect. Guerlain’s liquid eyeshadow offering is surprisingly easy to use. The sparkling shades of jade and ivory give eyes a subtle mermaid-esque sparkle and can be applied with a light touch for a simple wash of colour or layered for a more intense look. I preferred using my fingers to blend it over my eyelids but then lined my lower lashes using the applicator.

For those that want to intensify their natural complexion colour, the jasmine-scented tan boosting cream is a real treat. It comes in SPF 15 for darker skin and a higher protection of SPF 20 for paler complexions.

For lips, high-voltage colour is the name of the game. Fluo Stiletto is a vibrant hot pink shade that turns up the summer volume on any makeup look. But the collection shocker is the canary Yellow-It-Stick which as it turns out, really isn’t as scary as it looks. Once applied, it melts on to lips giving a very pretty iridescent gold effect. You can use it alone or layer it to add a gold sparkle to any other lipstick.
