Celebrity makeup artist, Gucci Westman is leaving her role as Creative Director of Revlon. After seven years with the beauty brand, Westman will exit her role on April 15th. “It’s been an incredible seven years, and I loved the variety of experiences,” she told WWD. “This was a great chapter in my career, and I’m excited for all that’s ahead.”
As a backstage regular at Fashion Week, she’s created memorable looks at shows like Rag & Bone, Oscar de la Renta and Marchesa. With her numerous Hollywood connections and high-fashion friends, Westman played a key role in elevating the mass brand and kept them in step with high-end competitors such as NARS and MAC who both sponsor a number of shows throughout Fashion Month,
Not only was she involved in creating the brand’s seasonal colour stories, but she was also integral in the development of a number of innovative products and new formulations.
There’s no word yet as to where she’s heading to next but no doubt she’ll be back to creating her amazing looks backstage at Fashion Week come September.
